VOTE BEST ACTOR : HUGH SHERIDAN
I will defy ANYONE to show me who is more deserving for the Best Actor logie than the amazing Hugh Sheridan for his role as “Ben Rafter” on Channel 7’s “Packed To The Rafters”.
In my opinion, Hugh Sheridan lifted the game of Australian acting on the small screens in 2010 especially in the episodes where his character Ben Rafter tragically lost his wife (played by the stunningly beautiful Zoe Ventura) in a car accident.
As his character mourned, the nation seemed to have mourned with “Ben Rafter”.
Many people scoffed and laughed how it is only a television show, but Hugh Sheridan gave the most memorable performance on Australian Television this decade am safe to say.
To not be moved by Hugh’s acting during those scenes, you seriously need to go and see a Doctor and get yourself checked out! .. I remember feeling like MY heart was ripped out watching Hugh during the episodes and after myself having lost my parents and loved ones in unforeseen deaths- Hugh encapsulated all of those heart wrenching feelings so flawlessly and took us to a level of grief where most Television shows would never really go to.
There is no one more deserving of this years Best actor Logie and should really give the Gold a nudge too.

THIERRY MUGLER SHOW IN PARIS!!!!
Nicola Formichetti Debuts For Mugler… listen carefully LADY GAGA is the Musical Director with remixed music from her unreleased next album..
Z For Zegna Fall/Winter collection 2011/2012
Ermenegildo Zegna -Z for Zegna was shown at Milan Fashion Week and has got to be my favourite from the Mesnwear show in Milan, with D&G a close 2nd..
Here are some of my favourite pieces from the collection..
First lady..in Red
Michelle Obama has attended a state reception wearing a beautifully patterned Alexander McQueen gown.
The stunning creation in red tones would be very appropriate as with the Chinese, red symbolises luck.
Sarah Burton the Creative Director for Alexander McQueen has used a strong Russian Military feel for this Menswear range yesterday.
The Models walked to music with a military and tribal mish mash feel in a gold guilded room that most flamboyant gentlement would use as a Dining or sitting room.
Many suits on show with this collection, tailoring taken in an unfinished way with a couple of the jacket sleeves not quite sewn to the shoulder.Beautiful long coats with oversized collars were a strong feature to this collection.
A big role to fill with the passing of McQueen, This menswear collection is completely wearable and I think Sarah Burton is doing a wonderful job in keeping the label true to McQueen’s style. I do however ponder as I watch this video.. What would Alexander have really done?.
Another Reminder … My Summer Anthem….. Taio Cruz “Higher” feat. Kylie Minogue
Lady Gaga has confirmed that she is the “Musical Director” for the debut collection of Nicola Formichetti’s Thierry Mugler show this week.
Using tracks from her next album “Born This Way” due for release in May 2011, Gaga will remix them for the catwalk showing of the new menswear range.
The Menswear collection from Vivienne Westwood came with 50’s style tailoring, vintage patterns and the male models all donning lipstick.. always one to give the boundary a nudge..
With a Royal Wedding coming up, Dame Vivienne Westwood has made mention of it in her notes for her current menswear collection. Using the catwalk for girls to dream of their bridegroom and goes on to say..
"We’re going with the guy in the drop-crotch high waisted pants" ..
A Harry-high pants eh Vivienne with a low hanging crotch? hmmm.. there’s a thought! .. No I cant got there!
I would go even as further to suggest that Dame Vivienne actually design the suits for Prince William when he weds in April this year. Westwoods tailoring has been a favourite of mine for many years. Saville Road may be considered the best in London and or the world but I would love to see a tailor-off with them and Westwood! .
Having seen the Vivienne Westwood collection in Canberra a few years back I was amazed at the detailing in all her work and surprisingly her jackets and suits were just as jaw dropping as her huge eccentric gowns that have glided down the catwalks on “The Stallions”- that are the Supermodels of the 90s..
Dolce & Gabbana Menswear show in Milan
This collection it seems the D&G boys Stefano and Dommenico have incorporated a “corporate” look .. by using two distinctive American icons in media and products today. Coca-Cola and Mickey Mouse (Disney) emblazened on T-shirts, (ever so slighted) puffa jackets and (hopefully fake) fur coats and fur lined hoodies. Casual, smart casual seems to dominate the collection.. Never have Mickey and Coke looked so appealing!.. well to me! Sell out or clever marketing?
